One sheet, eight pages, one person
Put them on the cover.
Write down what you know about the birthday person. The page plans an eight-page mini magazine from your facts and draws the sheet you print and fold. When you want it written, the run turns each fact into cover lines, a feature, a quiz and classifieds - and the page checks every line against your facts.

2 The facts
One fact a line. Tag a line if you like: quote: number: moment: habit: love: joke: plan:. A line that touches a sore subject is held back unless it starts with ok:.

What the page sees
The rules the page uses
- Held back: a fact that mentions a breakup, job loss, health, body or weight, money trouble, a loss or legal trouble, unless the line starts with
ok:; and any fact that names a topic in "Keep out". Held facts never leave your browser. - Ready to print at 8 usable facts or more; print with blanks at 4 to 7 (empty pages get fill-in lines for the guests); hold under 4.
- The plan sends each fact to the page its kind suits - numbers to page 3, moments to the feature, habits to the quiz, jokes to the classifieds, plans to the back page.
- The sore-subject list is a keyword guide, not a judgement about your person - read your facts yourself.
4 Write the issue
Metered. The run writes a masthead, a headline and three or four cover lines - each using a named headline move - then every page from 2 to 8, citing the fact behind each line, and says ready to print, print with blanks, or hold. The page checks every line, quote and figure against your facts.
Take it with you
Print uses the sheet layout whichever view is open. The .csv lists every fact with its kind, whether it was used or held back, the page planned for it and the pages it was printed on.
